Obituary of Henry Wayne Hurt

Henry Wayne Hurt passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 after 83 years of life. Born February 21, 1934 in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia, Wayne graduated from Wallace High School in 1952. He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 and attended Midwestern University and Texas Tech University. He held three international patents for mechanical engineering designs and contributed to the collections of Bayer Agricultural Museum.
Wayne is survived by his sister Earline Perry; three children: Dina Lea (Jason) Pender, Joel Wayne (Toni) Hurt, Timothy Daniel (Michelle) Hurt; their mother, Nancy Spain; four grandchildren: Ashley (Isaac) Brook, Aarden King, Julianne Pender, and William Tanner Hurt.
In lieu of flowers, Wayne requested that donations be sent to the Veterans Administration.
