Jose Ernesto Garcia ,87, of San Benito, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Garcia will always be remembered as a responsible, loving, yet very strict husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his son Ernesto Garcia Jr., as well as Two two grandsons Arturo Villarreal Jr., and Alex Villarreal.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Estefana L. Garcia, two daughters: Rosie Limon and Adriana (Arturo) Villarreal, three sons: Basilio (Maria Luisa) Garcia, Enrique (Stella) Garcia and Sergio (Lisa) Garcia two brothers, four sisters, 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. All services conclude as per his wishes cremation will follow.
