James Earl Knapp, 60, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence. He was a hard-working man, a great father and husband, known for his sense of humor and kind-hearted man. He is preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Postill; mother, Irene Derby; and father, Francis Knapp. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Eduvina Knapp; children: Mamie Knapp-Moon, Venissa Knapp, and James Knapp, Jr; siblings: Jackie Daniels, Richie Knapp, Ronnie Knapp, and Patty Knapp; and grandchildren; Matilda Moon, Stella Rivas, and Addie Garza. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
