Rene Acosta, born Febuary 22, 1943, of Joliet/San Benito, Texas, passed on September 18, 2016.
Rene is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Acosta and Teresa Acosta; Sister: Guadalupe Acosta; brother Merced Acosta.
Rene is survived by his children Rene Acosta Jr., Rolando Acosta, Araceli Ordaz; daughter in law Anita Acosta and son in law Javier A. Ordaz;
grandchildren: Maria Elena Gonzalez(Jesse), Rolando Acosta Jr.(Samantha), Ricardo Acosta(Melanie), Jesus Acosta, Juan G. Acosta, Santos Acosta, Lidia M. Acosta, Sonja R. Acosta, Benjamin B. Acosta, Marco A. Acosta, Xavier L. Ordaz, Maya I. Ordaz and Julian Ordaz also surviving Rene are his 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him is his loving companion Irma Gonzalez and family.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Chapel Service to begin at 7:00 p.m at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Creamation was done in accordance with his wishes.
