Carol Sue Chavez, 57, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Marshall Valentine; and one sister, Ruth Musser. Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her children: Amanda (Juan) Claudio, Ricardo Chavez, Jr., Elizabeth (John) Chavez, and Sarah (Santos) Chavez; grandchildren: Alesha, Alaina, John Devin, Aryana, Kathryn, Kalista, Hailey, Danielle, and Alexandria; one great-grandson, Briant Perales; and siblings: Jean Valentine, Laura Heimrich, Donna Valentine, Robert Valentine, Wayne Valentine, and Gary Valentine. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
