Los Fresnos, Texas: Irma Sanchez, 78, was called to her eternal rest after a short illness on Friday, January 26, 2007, at Harlingen Medical Center, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born October 4th, 1928, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Pablo Sanchez, Sr., two sons, Pablo Sanchez, Jr. and Tomas Sanchez, Sr.; son-in-laws, Ernest Marmino and Pedro Resendez; daughter-in-law, Isabel O. Sanchez; and grandson, Tomas Sanchez, Jr. She is survived by her children: Trinidad Resendez, Isidoro Sanchez, Jesus (Ana) Sanchez, Juanita (Gilbert) Gomez all of Los Fresnos, Guadalupe Sanchez of Indian Lake, Victoria (Charles) Olson, of San Benito, Frances (James) Williams of Harlingen, and Amelia (Ronald) Lowe of Raymondville. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, former son-in-law, Alberto Munoz, adopted son, Juan (Teresa) Gallegos, brother-in-law, Guadalupe Sanchez of League City, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, two sisters and two brothers, all of California. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home North Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Isidoro Sanchez Jr., Paul Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez, Jesus Sanchez Jr., James Sanchez, and Baltazar Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Alberto Munoz, Juan Gallegos, James Paul Williams, Brandon Lowe, Brian Lowe and Alberto Munoz, Jr. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Rolando Posada, Dr. Todd Shenkenberg and all the medical staff that took great care of our beloved mother. Also, a special thanks to Rosa Cruz for her loving support.
