Port Isabel - Mrs. Nora Elizabeth Martin Williams a 38 year resident of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006 after a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was born Thursday, May 22, 1913 in Spearsville, Louisiana to Willie Newt and Sarah Levada Falkner Martin. She was the eldest of six children. Nora and Vollie Eugene Williams were married October 28, 1933, in Rayville, Louisiana. Her extraordinary ninety-three and one half year journey on this planet included travels from coast to coast and border to border. She touched many lives on this extended journey. All who have known her will miss her beautiful mind, unconditional love, hugs, generous nature, and sheer joy and appreciation of living. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Vollie Eugene Williams, parents: Willie Newt Martin and Sarah Levada Martin; brothers, Jess Willard, Jake, Isaac Mackwell Martin, an infant brother and one sister Florence Jewel Martin. Survivors include: nephews: Terry and Hank Martin of Port Isabel, TX; Eddie Martin of Caddo Mills, TX; and Joe Martin of Pasadena, TX; nieces: Kathy Tomecek of Hewitt, TX; and Carolyn Boies of West Monroe, LA; great nephews: Newton Martin of Caddo Mills, TX; Scott Martin of Lewisville, TX; John Tomecek of Austin, TX; and Joshua and Andrew Boies of Beaumont, TX; great nieces: Lisa Tomecek of San Marcos, TX; Shelley Boies of Austin, TX; Amber Boies of Houston, TX; Iris and Daphne Martin of Deer Park, TX and numerous Williams nieces and nephews. Sisters-in-laws; Mary Lou martin of Port Isabel, TX; Mary Dollar of Winnsboro, LA; Carrie Olivia Martin of Pasadena, TX; Iva Williams and Edwina Williams of AL. Brother-in-law; Jack Williams of Carlsbad, NM. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
