Brownsville, Texas - Jesus Herrera passed away Sunday July 16, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Mr. Herrera resided in Brownsville for the past 30 years and was employed by Balli Ice Company for 18 years. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Mr. Herrera is survived by his wife, Lazara E. Herrera, 6 children: Maria Elena Herrera, Socorro Herrera, Francisca Herrera, Cesar Covarrubias, Saul Herrera, Bertha Martinez, numerous grandchildren, 1 brother: Santiago Herrera, 2 sisters: Julia Herrera and Paula Herrera. He is preceded in death by his parents Catarino and Maria Rodriguez Herrera and a sister, Ramona Herrera. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church at which time the Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow to Las Palmas Cemetery in Brownsville, Texas.
